WHAT DOES SUSTAINABILITY MEAN TO US?

We would like to share with you what sustainability means to us and how we live and implement it. Because for us, sustainability is the basis for everything - it shapes our decisions regarding our raw materials, our packaging, our social commitment and our everyday office life.

DOING BUSINESS IN HARMONY WITH OUR ENVIRONMENT.

To be more precise: with people, animals and nature. We want to keep our footprint as small as possible. By creating products that do not harm the environment and by taking a close look at how they are produced. We select our ingredients according to ecological criteria that also allow us to meet our standards of effectiveness and compatibility.

This is a path on which we are constantly improving and want to improve. Our entire value chain includes the origin, cultivation and extraction of our ingredients, production, packaging, shipping and disposal. Sustainability is one of our core values and is taken into account in every decision we make. We are not perfect. But we are committed to constantly developing in all dimensions of sustainability - ecological, social and economic.

WHAT MAKES US SUSTAINABLE?

The following points are particularly important to us.

We carefully select the right ingredients for our products. We pay attention to the origin of the raw materials, choose organic quality where possible and avoid unnecessary additives. For more transparency, you can find an alphabetical overview of all our raw materials and our decision criterianwhich we take into account in our selection.

We also attach great importance to making our packaging as sustainable as possible. Regional sourcing and recycled materials are very important to us here. We are currently evaluating new packaging options in order to meet our sustainability requirements even better. On this page you can find out more about our current packaging.

We source the ingredients for our products globally, while the production, bottling, storage and shipping of our products take place in Germany. To be more precise, at a location that is centrally located in order to have the shortest possible distances everywhere.

Our products are 100% vegan. Neither the ingredients nor the finished products are tested on animals. This is also confirmed by the "PETA Approved Vegan Global Animal Test Policy" seal. You can find out exactly what is behind it in our blog post.

It is a matter close to our hearts to pass on part of our economic success and thus support nature, people and animals. 1% of our annual turnover goes to social and ecological causes. You can find out which social projects we are currently involved in and why we are doing this at all here.

To date, we have calculated our CO2e emissions in collaboration with ClimatePartner in accordance with the guidelines of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol. By offsetting these emissions with climate protection projects, we were able to call ourselves "climate neutral". But we want to be even more precise and transparent. That's why you can find out from us here what is measured, where our emissions are, how we reduce them and why we no longer simply want to be "climate neutral".

OUR CERTIFICATIONS

PETA, the world's largest animal welfare organization, campaigns for the rights of animals and against their exploitation and cruelty. Our products bear the "PETA Approved Vegan Global Animal Test Policy" logo, which proves that they are completely vegan and that no animal testing has been carried out on either the products or the ingredients.

To date, we have calculated the CO2e emissions of our company and products in collaboration with ClimatePartner in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol and offset them through internationally recognized climate protection projects. Dermatest tests all our products for their compatibility. An epicutaneous test is used for this, which works in a similar way to an allergy test. The aim is to test the skin directly for toxic-irritant intolerance reactions. To be on the safe side, we only test all products on sensitive skin. We are more proud of the results. Our products have all received a "very good" rating to date. Every new product that is added to our range is automatically tested by Dermatest before it goes on sale.
