This year, our campaign for International Women's Day is all about empowerment. We want to start exactly where we have the greatest impact: With education - as early as possible. After all, education is the key to a conscious approach to oneself and one's environment. That's why we have teamed up with Germany's most far-reaching organization against sexism: Pinkstinks. With their working materials, they help to educate daycare centers and schools, advise companies and regularly publish video clips and texts against sexism.
And Content Manager Lena talks about this with Dr. Stevie Meriel Schmiedel, Creative Director at Pinkstinks Germany e.V:
- Why do we need Pinkstinks in our society, in our world?
- How did the name "Pinkstinks" come about in the first place?
- What is the current situation regarding sexism and gender roles in Germany?
- Your aim is to address the root of the sexism problem in schools through education. How did you come up with this approach and why are you successful with it?
- How did the idea for the booklet and the work in schools come about?
- With our campaign, we enable pupils to benefit from your educational measures against sexism. How exactly does that work?
- What information, topics and exercises can be found in the booklet?
- How many German schools already support this type of education together with you?
- Can you in any way assess the success of this educational work and the booklet?
