JUNGLÜCK Review of the year 2023

by Lena Severin

And another year passes! It's hard to believe that 2023 is already coming to an end - even though it still felt like midsummer last month. And what a year it has been. A lot has happened here at JUNGLÜCK . We have reached a few milestones, celebrated many successes as a team and, above all, learned a lot.
When we sat down together to review the year, we first noticed how many highlights there were in the individual teams. Unfortunately, not every good event fits into this article, but of course we don't want to deprive you of the crème de la crème of JUNGLÜCK in 2023.

1. we launched 13 new products

Our product family grew considerably in 2023! There were some completely new products, but also existing products that we have improved. From our nutritional supplements, the Azelaic acid serum and PHA toner and the Cleansing Milk, to the new favorites Enzyme peeling and Tanning Drops, to the oilserum with Vitamin C, the Ceramides serum , the sun fluid and the hyaluronic creams in three richness levels. That means a total range of 58 full-size products!

2. we celebrated our 5th birthday!

In May, we celebrated our fifth JUNGLÜCK year. An occasion that gave the team a little anniversary feeling. All the better that we were able to look back together on our successes over the last 5 years. After all, some of us have been with the team for several years or even from the very beginning!

3. our secondary school in Malawi was built

After we were able to open our primary school in 2022 - including a solar system and well - we were incredibly pleased to complete the construction of the secondary school this year. The first pupils will be able to move into the classrooms next year and thus expand their education even further.
By the way, if you would like to know exactly how our school projects in Malawi came about, why and where the construction took place in the first place, then take a look here here.

4. our store at Gärtnerplatz - JUNGLÜCK goes offline

We were able to fulfill a pretty big dream this year with our first flagship store. It was a long time in the planning and then it happened very quickly in the end. We celebrated the opening on July 8 - together with lots of customers from Munich and the surrounding area. And after the first few months, we couldn't be happier. We have settled into our store and office. We have welcomed guests and business partners there, organized events and, above all, welcomed our customers personally every day with a special store experience. This is exactly how we will continue in 2024! And for more information, click here.

5. JUNGLÜCK grows

In 2023, we were delighted to welcome 27 new people to our team. That makes a total of 70 people in the company! Quite a lot, as we saw at the summer party and again at the Christmas party. How nice that we not only work well together, but can also celebrate well together. And if you would like to join our team, please take a look at our vacancies jobs. Or send us an unsolicited application. We are already looking forward to it!

6 A successful year for donations

This year, International Women's Day was all about the traces of life and accepting ourselves exactly as we are. What's particularly nice is that we not only used this message to create awareness for a wide range of body feelings, but also donated €1,000 to the organization Women for Women International - with the aim of helping female war survivors to build a new life and a new future.

For Pride Month this year, we were able to give our customers lots of great, colorful messages at the Munich CSD under the motto "Less Me, More We" - in the form of stickers with a very clear message: We are all beautiful and valuable - just as we are, always and everywhere. As part of this, we supported a project by the organization All Out with €6,000 to support LGBTQIA+ rights and people in Uganda at Protect after an anti-gay law was passed there.

As part of our Happiness Week, we were able to donate a total of €43,000 with your help. This sum went in equal parts to the following organizations:
One Earth One Ocean e.V. - With their "Maritime Garbage Collection" they free our waters worldwide from plastic, oil, ghost nets and chemicals.
Ärzte gegen Tierversuche e.V. - Their aim is to abolish all animal testing for ethically justifiable medicine and science. For us as a vegan and animal-free cosmetics brand, this has been an important goal from the very beginning.
The European Food Banks Federation - Saving food and helping people affected by poverty in Europe. Members include the food banks in Germany and Austria and the Voedselbanken in the Netherlands.

2024 - we have a lot planned...

... and we are already looking forward to rolling up our sleeves again in the new year, cracking more milestones, introducing you to lots of great new products and doing good. For now, however, we'll be taking our leave for a well-deserved Christmas break.
Enjoy the holidays and have a good time!
See you next year!
