WHAT IS DEHYDRATED SKIN?

A dehydrated skin condition is often attributed to dry skin. However, while dry skin is a genetically determined skin type, dehydrated skin is a temporary condition caused by too little water in the skin and exacerbated by external influences. The reason for this is usually a damaged, porous skin barrier, which promotes the evaporation of moisture. This makes the skin fine-pored, thin and gives you a flaky or rough skin feeling.
