But back to serum in your layering routine: A face serum is applied in the "Treat" step. The skin is cleansed and can optimally absorb the Actives serum here. Due to its light, often gel-like texture, a serum is quickly absorbed by the skin so that a cream or facial oil can be applied afterwards to give the skin a nourishing finish.

There are various methods of applying a serum to face . If you prefer to spend less time on your skincare routine, you can simply apply a drops to your forehead, cheeks, nose and chin and gently spread with washed fingers. Allow to absorb briefly and then continue with the cream or oil in the next step, "Moisturize".

The alternative to this quick version is all about self-care and a mini-me time. Serums can also be wonderfully applied to the skin with a Gua Sha scraper leave-on. With the right technique, you can promote blood circulation in the skin and pamper yourself with a relaxing massage.

Incidentally, it is also no problem if you want to use several serums. You can incorporate two different serums into your routines for AM and PM . Niacinamide is the active form of vitamin B3 and a natural component of our body. It is produced in our liver and we absorb it through our diet. It is a very important substance for our body, as it is involved in many processes as an energy building block - including the regeneration of muscles, the nervous system and the skin. It is therefore obvious why it also has many benefits when applied externally.

Note: You should not combine Niacinamide serum with other active ingredients due to the high dosage of the active ingredient. Specifically, this applies to the combination of the Niacinamide serum with our AHA peeling , BHA peeling , Retinal serum and the Vitamin C ampoules . As an interaction can occur if both Actives react with each other, this combination also impairs the effectiveness and tolerability of the products.

Vitamin C is an active ingredient with many benefits for the skin - both internally and externally. It is needed for many processes in the body, which in turn cannot produce it itself. We can use it specifically in skin care, as Vitamin C plays an important role as an antioxidant in the defense against free radicals that attack our skin throughout the day.

Vitamin C can irritate depending on the concentration sensitive skin . However, we want every skin to be able to profit from these wonderful benefits. That is why we have opted for a derivative instead of the usual form of Vitamin C, namely ascorbic acid. Ascorbyl glycoside is significantly more stable than pure ascorbic acid without restricting its effect. It is a precursor of the actual vitamin and is only converted in the skin. It is therefore much milder than pure ascorbic acid and can also be used on sensitive skin.

WELL-AGING-FAVORITE: RETINAL SERUM

Retinal is a very popular active ingredient in skincare products for mature skin . Did you know that it also helps to reduce blemishes? Retinal is a form of vitamin A, which is also an essential vitamin for our body. In the skin, it stimulates the production of our skin scaffolding component collagen. Thanks to the different molecule sizes of the hyaluronic acid in our serum, it penetrates through the different skin layers, deep into the skin. The great thing about it? The hyaluronic acid molecules bind water and channel it into the skin. This keeps the moisture balance stable, the skin looks plumper and has more radiance.
