WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN deodorant AND ANTITRANSPIRANT?

Deodorants Treat perspiration odor by either reducing the growth of odor-causing bacteria, inhibiting their activity or absorbing odors. They do not prevent sweating, but the formation of odors. Actives such as triethyl citrate, zinc ricinoleate and sodium bicarbonate are used for this purpose. The natural and important process of perspiration is not prevented: substances for the hydrolipid film and nutrients for the microbiome continue to be supplied and metabolic products and horny cells are removed. Our Zinc deodorant roll-ons are deodorants.

Antiperspirants Treat perspiration by strongly constricting or blocking sweat pores. An aluminum compound such as aluminum chlorohydrate or aluminum sesquichlorohydrate is always used for this purpose, as these are very effective against perspiration. However, antiperspirants prevent the important physiological process of sweating.
